Oddly, these shock absorbers do not come with the required bushing spacers needed for installation. The KIT107 installation kit includes 6 mounting sleeves and 2 washers that allow the shocks to be installed on 1968 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models (and other models). One kit is needed per shock.
The KG5530 gas-a-just shock was specifically built for the rear of the VW Bus. Therefore, it contains metal sleeves that are already pressed into the eyelets top and bottom. The sleeve is the correct size for the VW Bus. This may be your best choice for the easiest installation.
