Installation & Maintenance Tips

• The Gap is Key: Always set the points gap when the rubbing block is on the highest point of the distributor cam. Use a feeler gauge to set it to .016" (0.4mm).

• Clean the Contacts: Before starting the engine for the first time, pull a clean piece of cardstock (like a business card) through the closed points to remove any protective film or oil from the factory.
