This brand new replacement gas tank fits the 1952-1955 Bug (Will also fit up 1960). It is the exact shape and size of the original tank but is made for a 60 millimeter gas cap.
All new Fuel Tanks should be thoroughly cleaned before installation. Some tanks are lined with with a rust inhibitor which can be cleaned out with Acetone or a similar solvent. Even if the tank is not lined, it is still important to clean out the tank. Manufacturing debris can clog your fuel lines, carburetor or fuel system!
