Oil Level Sensor Block-Off Plate – 03G-103-707
The 03G-103-707 is a high-strength plastic plate designed to seal the oil level sensor aperture on a variety of VW and Audi oil pans. This part is necessary when installing a replacement pan that features a sensor hole on a vehicle that was not originally equipped with an electronic oil level/temperature sensor. The plastic construction is designed to match the thermal expansion rates of modern composite and steel pans, ensuring a reliable seal under high engine temperatures.
This plate uses the factory three-bolt mounting pattern. Because it is made of plastic, it is highly resistant to the corrosive effects of road salt and moisture, making it a durable choice for the life of the engine.

Installation & Maintenance Tips
-
Hardware Caution: Because the plate is plastic, it is even more important to use a torque wrench. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
-
Clean Surface: Ensure the mounting flange on the oil pan is completely smooth. Any burrs or old sealant can crack the plastic plate when it is tightened down.
-
Avoid Over-Torqueing: Plastic can stress-crack if the bolts are overtightened. Ensure the load is spread evenly across all three points.
