Front Brake Hose (480mm) – 113-611-701

The 113-611-701 is a critical component for maintaining the integrity of your early Volkswagen's braking system. Because the front wheels must turn and move with the suspension, these flexible rubber hoses are subjected to constant flexing. Replacing them every 10 years or during a major brake overhaul is highly recommended to prevent catastrophic failure or "spongy" pedal feel caused by aged, expanding rubber.

This hose is specifically designed for King & Link Pin and early Ball Joint front ends. Its Male/Female ends allow it to thread directly into the front wheel cylinder while receiving the hard metal line from the chassis.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  • Avoid Twisting: When installing the hose, ensure it is not twisted or kinked. A twisted hose can rub against the tire or suspension components, leading to premature wear and failure.

  • Brake Hose Clips: Always use a new Brake Hose Clip (113-611-715A) to secure the female end of the hose to the bracket on the chassis. If the hose is allowed to vibrate or move, it can fatigue the hard metal lines.
