This 2" narrowed tie rod set delivers a matched pair of left and right assemblies engineered for ball joint beam suspensions. Featuring the larger tie rod ends introduced in May 1968, these rods are for 1968–1977 Standard Beetles, 1968–1974 Karmann Ghias, and 1973–1974 Things equipped with 2" narrowed beams. If using on a 66-67 front end you may need to change the tie rod ends to suit your vehicle. To confirm compatibility, measure your original tie rod end nut: a 17mm nut indicates pre-May 1968 fitment, while a 19mm nut confirms late-'68 and later models requiring this assembly.
