Installation & Maintenance Tips

• Check Your Vacuum Advance: When installing, ensure your distributor's vacuum hose is connected to the correct port on the side of the carb. If you are using a "009" centrifugal-only distributor, be sure to plug the vacuum ports on the carburetor to avoid a lean-run condition.

• Fuel Filter Placement: Always install a new fuel filter in the line before the carburetor. Modern fuel can contain debris that will easily clog the small idle jets of a PICT carburetor, causing a frustrating "hesitation" off the line.

• Heat Riser Clearance: Because this kit uses an adapter, the carburetor sits slightly higher than stock. Check for clearance against the underside of the engine decklid or insulation before closing it for the first time.
