Upgrade your lowered VW front suspension with EMPI’s oil-filled lowered front shock, designed specifically for Type 1 models with link pin front ends. This shock absorber is ideal for vehicles lowered more than 3 inches using an adjustable beam, helping to prevent bottoming out and improve ride quality.

Shock Dimensions:

• Closed Length: 9 3/4"
• Extended Length: 14 5/8"
• Eyelet Inner Diameter: 12mm (fits mounts approx. 11.9mm)

Installation Tip:
If the shock won’t fit the lower mount, check for rusted sleeves from the old shock. Removal may require vice grips, heat, a chisel, or a cut-off wheel.
