Add extra support to your VW suspension with EMPI’s coil-over shocks, designed to fit a wide range of classic Volkswagen models. These shocks feature a chrome coil spring, cap, and adjuster over a black oil-filled shock, offering adjustable preload to help compensate for worn suspension components or heavier loads.

Fitment:

• Rear: All VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3 models
• Front:
  • 1965 and earlier Beetle & Karmann Ghia
  • 1967 and earlier Bus (requires trimming lower bushing)

Important Notes:

• Not designed to support vehicle weight alone
• Do not lower your vehicle – intended to assist existing suspension
• Trimming may be required for front installation on early models

Installation Tip:
If the shock won’t fit the lower mount, check for rusted sleeves from the old shock. Removal may require vice grips, heat, a chisel, or a cut-off wheel.
