Installation & Maintenance Tips

• Cam Plug Selection: This case requires a metal cam plug (113-101-157C) or an aluminum O-ring plug. Do not use the plastic or poly style plugs unless specified by your engine builder for this specific casting.

• Cleaning and Preparation: Even though this is a new case, always "hot tank" or thoroughly wash the case and blow out all oil galleries with compressed air to remove any machining debris before assembly.

• Main Bearing Fit: Check the alignment of the main bearing dowel pins. If they are not perfectly seated, the bearings will spin and cause catastrophic engine failure.

• Sealant Usage: Use a high-quality case sealant like Curil-T or Permatex on the mating surfaces. Apply a very thin layer to avoid excess sealant squeezing into the oil galleries.
