Left Rear Fender (1958–1967 Style) – 111-821-305QIT
The 111-821-305QIT is a high-quality steel replacement panel for the driver side of your Volkswagen. Because vintage fenders are often subject to "parking lot rash," rust, or poor previous repairs, a fresh steel panel is the best way to restore the integrity of your Beetle’s rear quarter. This fender is finished in a protective black transport e-coat which will need to be removed before it is ready for professional prep and paint.
When replacing body panels, keep in mind that slight adjustments to the mounting holes or flanges may be necessary to achieve the tight, uniform gaps expected in a high-quality restoration.

Installation & Maintenance Tips
-
Test Fit Before Paint: It is essential to bolt the fender to the body and align it with the engine lid before applying any paint. This ensures you can address any minor clearance issues while the metal is still bare.
-
Use New Hardware: To prevent future rust and ensure a secure mount, always use a fresh Fender Bolt and Washer Kit (113-898-022) during installation.
-
Seal the Seam: Applying a high-quality Fender Beading between the fender and the body is critical. This creates a waterproof barrier that prevents moisture from being trapped between the two metal surfaces, which is the leading cause of "fender-rot."
