VW Beetle Pea Shooter Tail Pipe (225mm) – 113-251-163G
The 113-251-163G is a classic "Pea Shooter" style tail pipe, named for its iconic narrow diameter and the distinct whistling chirp it produces at idle. This specific pipe measures 225mm in length, which is the correct factory dimension for late-sixties and early-seventies Volkswagens. It features the traditional chrome-plated tip that provides the perfect finishing touch to any stock restoration, extending just past the rear apron for a clean, original look.
These tail pipes are designed to slide into the baffles of the stock muffler. Over time, original tail pipes often rust out or become loose, leading to exhaust leaks and unwanted vibration. This high-quality replacement is made from heavy-gauge steel to ensure a snug fit and long-lasting durability against the high-heat environment of the air-cooled exhaust system.

Installation & Maintenance Tips
-
Installation Hardware: Always use a new Tail Pipe Installation Kit (clamps and seals) when replacing these pipes. Reusing old, stretched clamps is the leading cause of tail pipes falling off on the road.
-
Anti-Seize: Apply a small amount of high-heat anti-seize to the end of the pipe that slides into the muffler. This will make it much easier to remove or adjust in the future.
-
Alignment: Ensure both pipes are protruding from the rear apron at the same angle and depth before final tightening to maintain a symmetrical appearance.
