The fender comes finished in a black transport e-coat. Like all aftermarket sheet metal, it should be test-fitted to the vehicle, scuffed, and properly prepped with a high-quality primer and paint to ensure a seamless color match and long-term rust prevention.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

• Test Fit First: Always bolt the fender onto the car before painting. This allows you to check the gaps against the engine lid and quarter panel, making any necessary minor adjustments to the mounting flange while the metal is still bare.

• Replace the Beading: Never reuse old, compressed fender beading. Installing new Fender Beading (111-821-707) will ensure a tight, waterproof seal and prevent the metal edges from vibrating against the body.

• Undercoat for Longevity: To maximize the life of your new Brazilian fender, apply a thick layer of rubberized undercoating to the inside of the wheel well after painting. This protects the steel from dents caused by rocks being thrown up by the tires.
