Mann-Filter Spin-On Oil Filter – W719/5
The Mann W719/5 is an OE-quality spin-on oil filter engineered to provide superior protection for Volkswagen and Audi engines. Featuring advanced pleated media, this filter efficiently removes contaminants such as carbon, grit, and metal particles from the engine oil. It is equipped with a high-quality bypass valve to ensure oil flow during cold starts and an anti-drain-back valve to prevent the filter from emptying when the engine is off, reducing wear during startup.
This filter is the direct equivalent to the Volkswagen Group part number 056-115-561G. Its heavy-duty housing is designed to resist pressure spikes and vibration, making it the ideal choice for both naturally aspirated and turbocharged applications across a wide range of classic and modern models.

Installation & Maintenance Tips
-
Lubricate the Seal: Always apply a small amount of fresh oil to the rubber sealing ring before spinning the filter onto the housing to prevent sticking. (Always make sure the old seal did not stay behind!)
-
Proper Torque: Hand-tighten the filter until the gasket makes contact, then apply an additional 3/4 turn. Avoid using a wrench for tightening to prevent damage to the housing.
-
Check for Leaks: After an oil change, run the engine for a few minutes and inspect the area around the filter for any signs of seepage before driving.
