T1 68-77, SB 71-72, T3 71-73 Headlight Switch 8-Prong

This headlight switch installs into the dash with a 14mm dash nut escutcheon and has a 5mm threaded post for a knob (both sold separately). The headlight switch has 3 positions; off, parking-running lights, headlights-running lights. Also has a rheostat control (twist the knob at the second or third position) to dim or brighten the dash lights. The headlight switch fits 71-77 Standard Beetles, 71-72 Super Beetles, 71-74 Karmann Ghias and 71-73 Type 3s.

This switch can be installed in place of the 311941531B Headlight switch for 1968 through 1970 Beetles, 1968 through 1970 Karmann Ghias and 1968 through 1970 Type 3 models.
The adaptation is simple and only requires 2 Piggy Back Terminals, a short length of wire, and 2 crimp on 1/4" terminal ends. See the additional image for instruction
