Stainless Steel Throttle Cable Guide Tube – 043-129-893SS
The 043-129-893SS is a small but vital "while-you're-in-there" upgrade for any VW engine build. The original guide tubes are often lost during engine swaps or become so clogged with grease and rust that the throttle cable begins to drag. This stainless steel replacement is a "set-and-forget" part that ensures your throttle linkage remains responsive and reliable.
Because it is made of polished stainless steel, it also adds a subtle, clean look to the back of your fan shroud. It is a direct fit for the factory hole in the shroud and works with all standard-diameter accelerator cables.

Installation & Maintenance Tips
-
Seal Check: When installing this tube, always check the condition of the Throttle Cable Boot on the front side of the shroud. If it's cracked, replace it to prevent cooling air from escaping.
-
Lubrication: Even with a stainless tube, applying a light coat of multi-purpose grease to the throttle cable before sliding it through will further reduce friction and wear.
-
Secure Fit: If the hole in your fan shroud has become enlarged over time, a small dab of high-temp silicone or a slight "tweak" to the tube can help lock it firmly in place so it doesn't rattle.
