If your key currently can be inserted into the lock assembly and can be twisted, your key and lock assembly are fine. The current aftermarket lock cylinders must be modified slightly as they no longer have the cut out for the steering column lock pin. It is easy to duplicate the cut out with a grinder and cut off wheel.
